In the USA
We rejoice to welcome women into the spiritual companionship that is the Company of St. Ursula. Pictured here are Sue H. (left) and Karen S. They have been accepted into a period of “friendship” with the Company. This is the first stage of preparation for consecration. A third woman, not pictured here, was received on June 5, 2009, in Quebec.

Over several months they will continue to deepen their relationships within the Company. First and foremost is their response to God, whose human face is Jesus Christ, and whose Holy Spirit guides them. Angela Merici is a leader and a spiritual mother whom they are coming to know more and more intimately. And getting better acquainted with the Company of St. Ursula helps them develop as spiritual sisters with other members.

In the Philippines
A new branch of the Company of St. Ursula of Canada is sprouting in the Philippines. Eight women were received into the Company on May 23, 2009, in Davao. Elsie T., their leader, became a member while living in Toronto and “took the Company home” with her.
